Welcome to the revamped Costa Calida Info Web site, we are in the process of opening up our sites to enable people to add information or recommendations for anyone to make use of. Also to sell all the things you no longer need.

We would love to help you to move to Spain and enjoy all the things we as ex pats and residents have enjoyed for years, we can be your way to the sun and be friends in the future too.

The nearest large town to La Manga Club, it has a long and tempestuous history dating back more than 2500 years. A number of archaeological sites from Roman and Carthaginian times are being excavated, whilst the city’s also has a vibrant marina that is always a hive of activity. The city’s maritime heritage was guaranteed when one of the city’s most famous sons, Isaac Peral, designed and built the first ever submarine of any note in 1888. A replica of the submarine can be found in the city. Cartagena’s military importance cannot be underestimated, with a number of imposing fortifications including La Concepcion Caslte, Las Galeras, Atalaya and San Julian being clearly visible from the centre of the city.


The region’s capital, Murcia, is one of the most important and fastest growing cities in Spain and has much to see and do. The city has a long history dating back to 831AD and flourished under the rule of its Arab founders. The city really began to grow in the 16th Century when it became of a centre of Baroque architecture. Many fine churches and the impressive cathedral with its 92 metre tower were built in this period, leaving the city with a splendid architectural heritage that draws visitors to this day. The city experienced a further building boom in the 19th Century, a period which saw such distinctive buildings as the Romea Theatre, the Town Hall and the Casino being built. The city has good shopping and a wide selection of museums, restaurants and bars

Archena and Fortuna Leana Spas

Two of the Murcia region’s best kept secrets are the natural spas located at Archena and Fortuna. Mineral rich waters flow from underground springs and are said to have curative powers for a variety of ailments, including arthritic disorders and rheumatic illnesses. The thermal springs at Archena were first discovered more than 2000 years ago by the Romans, and have drawn people seeking rest, recuperation or cures for a variety of illnesses for centuries.


You either love it, or hate it, but there is no denying that Benidorm has a certain amount of charm. Big, brash and completely over the top, there is plenty to do in the resort. Mundomar Marine and Exotic Animal Park is well worth visiting. It includes sea lions, turtles and flamingos amongst its attractions and is likely to appeal to kids of all ages.

Terra Mitica

Terra Mitica is a wonderful collection of themed areas that offer an exciting day out for both adults and children alike. The five areas based on ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome, Iberia and “The Islands” take elements of all those areas and bring them together in an innovative and interesting way. Located close to Benidorm, it is easily reached from La Manga, and has lots of themed attractions and shows.

Balloon Safaris

Balloon Safaris are available near Elche, approximately an hour from La Manga. The excursion lasts about three hours, and includes a picnic lunch, and needs to be booked in advance. It offers panoramic views across the Costa Blanca and the surrounding area.

A small zoo located near the town of Elche, about an hour’s drive from La Manga.

Cabo de Palos

Had enough peace and quiet? Then the bustling La Manga strip is only a short drive away with its shops, restaurants, water sports and boat trips. Or why not visit the picturesque port of Cabo de Palos at the end of the strip where you can have a long leisurely lunch at one of the excellent fish restaurants where you can watch the world go by.
